Hi, I am Helen Alexandra Ashton of Alex Ashton Photography. My interest in photography started in my childhood, my father being a keen amateur photographer constantly capturing moments of our childhood. I loved looking back on those moments in our family life. This has inspired me over my lifetime.
Photography to me is about capturing a special moment in time and seeing people and objects from a different angle. Life moves on so quickly and the memory fades. You can however rely on the photograph.
My photography is all about capturing that unique moment, the love and laughter in a childs eyes, a stormy sky at sunset, a spider building its web. I see beyond what is in front of me, beyond the obvious but stay true to the image.
